An Asian man was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation for selling medical supplies illegally. He bought medical supplies from various pharmacies to resell them to the public illegally.
This is according to a report shared by the Ministry of Interior – Qatar. The medical supplies included 7900 medical masks, 1502 medical clothing, 800 medical gloves, thermometers, and money up to 200,000 Qatar Riyals.
The man confessed that he bought these supplies from various pharmacies in order to resell them to the public, exploiting the current situation and health conditions the country and its residents are facing. After investigations and legal procedures, he has been referred to the proper authorities for further legal actions.
The Ministry urges citizens and residents to report violations that can cause health and economic damages to the society.
This also serves as a reminder to us all to avoid exploiting each other especially in these times of crisis. Instead, we should help each other overcome the current situation.

The Criminal Investigation Department of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation arrested one person from an Asian country for selling medical supplies illegally.
The Department received information that the accused is selling medical supplies illegally at exorbitant prices. After completing the required procedures, he was arrested in possession of a large number of medical supplies. They include 800 medical gloves, 7900 medical masks and 1502 medical clothing besides antibiotics, thermometers and money up to 200,000 Qatar Riyals.
On investigation, he confessed to purchasing these supplies from various pharmacies in the country and reselling them it to the public illegally, exploiting their demand in light of global health conditions. After completing the necessary procedures, he has been referred to the concerned authorities in the country for further legal measures.
