Celebrate the FIFA World Cup with these Events

While there are several events occurring all across Doha, we want to concentrate on those taking place at the Corniche and Lusail. These two locales are well-liked travel destinations because of their accessibility and attractive scenery.

Activities in Lusail

From November 20 to December 18, visit the Lusail Marina Promenade if you want to attend a fan zone. An outdoor ice skating rink can be found in this fan zone. Additionally, this location is ideal for the entire family. Watch ice ballet performances and expect a fan zone with a winter theme.

You can also visit Lusail Winter Wonderland on Al Maha Island if you can’t get enough of winter. Explore this fair and experience the rides and entertainment. The first outdoor ice-skating rink in the MENA region is also available at this wonderland.

You can’t leave Lusail without passing by Lusail Boulevard. You can also participate in street performances and get your fill from the food outlets in the area. Be sure to take a selfie near the team flags!

The Lusail Stadium is what makes Lusail the best place to visit. You would want to be close to the action, with the stadium serving as the site of the final game.

Events on the Corniche

The Corniche is famous for its view of the bay and the Doha skyline. The annual Qatar Day parade is held there as well. It is now the site of several fun activities for the World Cup. You can walk from the Sheraton Hotel up to the Museum of Islamic Art Park to see live performances and a street carnival. Because there are so many stalls selling meals and drinks, you won’t have to worry about going hungry. The whole stretch of the Corniche can accommodate about 70,000 guests.

You can also witness the water and pyrotechnic performances if you attend at night. Listen to the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra while enjoying the show.

Check out the World of Football Exhibition

To learn more about football, visit the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum at the Khalifa International Stadium. Exhibits trace the history of the FIFA World Cup game, from its beginnings in Uruguay to Doha. Another area of the museum is devoted to football and its appeal to fans. The final section presents artifacts related to the World Cup. Admission is 100 QR for adults and free for children under 16 years old. The museum is open daily.

Come see these events across Doha. You can get from one event to another with your car, a taxi, or even the Doha Metro. Take part in this important football event.
