Sora Marine Training is located in The Diplomatic Club in West Bay, Doha. It has lots of activities, including wakeboarding and those involving powerboats. As an internationally recognized water sports and training club, it has many accreditation, including those from UK’s Royal Yachting Association and PADI.
Sora Marine Training offers first-rate facilities with expert instructors for a wonderful water adventure experience. These are some of the water sports activities you can do while in Sora Marine Training — great additions to your adventure agenda while in Qatar!
1. Kite Surfing
Kite Surfing combines windsurfing, surfing, wakeboarding, paragliding, and a bunch of other extreme sports. With the help of the wind, you can glide over snow, land or water. At Sora Marine Training, expert instructors will teach you how to set up the kite, steer it, how to start on the water, and so much more.
2. Small Boat Sailing
With small boat sailing at the Sora Marine Training, you can enjoy the open air and the open seas with your family or friends. Going out to the sea and leaving the shore is kind of like a metaphor for leaving all your worries behind. Aside from being a fun sport, it is also a way to socialize with other people. Training is offered to various levels, depending on your capabilities. Such levels include Youth Start Racing, Youth Stage 1-4, and Adult Level 1-2.
3. Diving
There are different kinds of programs related to diving at Sora Marine Training. First we have PADI Courses. Next, we have PADI Seal Team, and finally, the Bubblemaker. Having a PADI certification is open to kids, teens, and adults. Having this certification allows you to be a diver anywhere in the whole world!
4. Wakeboarding
Wakeboarding is a surface water sport. Wakeboarders ride a wakeboard over the water surface, and it resembles many extreme sports, including snowboarding, surfing and water skiing. Usually, a wakeboarder is tugged by a motorboat at speeds reaching 30 to 40 kph. Wakeboarding is an exceptionally popular activity in Qatar, and Sora Marine Training has the best wakeboarding group in the city capital.
5. Swimming
If you’re thinking about learning how to swim, then Sora Marine Training is one of the best schools you can enroll in when you’re in Qatar. Sora Marine Training is an STA Swim Star Swim School, a distinction reserved for training schools qualified in teaching swimming and lifesaving. Junior beginners train on Sundays at 3:30 PM, while improvers on Thursday at 3:30 PM. There are also swimming lessons for mums and tots, non-swimmers, and beginners.
If you’re into water sports, Qatar is a great place to engage in these activities with lots of choices. Maybe you can enjoy doing these during the weekend, on top of all the other activities you have in store!
