To travel within Qatar, you can hire a car or ride the tourist bus. Enjoy the desert, the sea and the shopping district. Discover the old Qatari culture while enjoying its modern amenities.
Places to Visit in Qatar for 3 Days
Day One
The first day of your stay could be spent within the city. In our previous post, we recommended Souq Waqif, Corniche and Museum of Islamic Art as possible places to see. In the three places mentioned, you will learn about Qatar’s history and culture. You can also score some souvenirs. But since you have more time to explore, you can also visit the Katara Cultural Village. This is one taxi ride away.
In this destination, you can see art installations, photo galleries and other exhibits. You can also see some landmarks such as the amphitheatre, opera house and mosques. And take some time to visit the private beach. Entry to the beach starts at 10 AM, with entrance fee of QR 25 for adults and free entrance for guests younger than 16 years old. There is a separate entrance for families.
Day Two
Have some adventure in the desert on your second day. Book a desert safari, whether for half day or full day. Experience dune bashing aboard a 4 x 4 vehicle, and take photos of the magnificent location. Afterwards, relax in a simulated Bedouin camp. Aside from eating and drinking in the camp, you will also learn the about the Bedouin culture and the early way of life in the Middle East.
Day Three
Head back to the city on your last day. Visit some malls that Qatar is famous for. Mall of Qatar and Doha Festival City are the newest malls. Or if you want a more traditional itinerary, why not try the dhow cruise in Corniche? Enjoy the scenery as your trip to Qatar ends.
