3 Fun Things to Do at Baladna Park

Learn more than just zoo and farm animals at Baladna Park. Children will also enjoy sports activities and play using outdoor play equipment. Adults can also enjoy these facilities, as well as enjoy the food offered in the restaurant.

Though located on the outskirts of Doha, it is worth visiting Baladna Park to experience this wonderland. Let the young ones explore the Children’s Adventure Land, or visit the Petting Zoo. Older children will want to try pedal racing or the extreme sports zone.

Outdoor Activities for the Family

When in Al Khor, take time to visit Baladna Park. This outdoor park has several attractions for the whole family. Put on your comfortable shoes and clothes before exploring the place.

  1. Have fun in the playgrounds.

There are plenty of play areas in the park. Get to know the areas so you can plan your visit well:

Extreme Sports Zone – contains two rope obstacles, two climbing walls, and 2 mega zip lines. This zone will surely give everyone an adrenaline rush.

Bumper Boats – a signature attraction in the park. The Bumper Boats run on a man-made lake, riders in the bumper boat can see the sights around the park.

Bungee Trampolines – children can safely jump as high as they want, and even practice flipping stunts.

Pedal Racing – has different tracks for everyone. Choose which track and finish the race as fast as you can.

Children’s Adventure Land – this is perfect for children from 2 to 8 years old. This contains plenty of natural wooden structures including mini-rope obstacles and mini-zip lines. It also has slides and swings.

Multiple-Seater Bicycles – ride in this bicycle together with family and friends to tour around the greenhouse and the park.

2. Explore your love for nature.

Baladna Park is home to different plants and animals waiting to be explored.  The Palmera Greenhouse teaches the children different ways of planting seeds and how to water them.

The Petting Zoo includes llamas, zebras, ostriches, bunnies, turtles, and ponies, among others. Children can feed and take selfies with these animals.

The Reptile Cave is home to several exotic reptiles such as iguanas, snakes, and frogs.

Next door is Baladna Farm, where visitors can see the cows being grown for their milk.  And depending on the schedule, visitors can also how to get milk from the cows.

  1. Eat and shop.

A visit to the park will not be complete without going to the Baladna Restaurant. Enjoy authentic Arabian cuisine after the tour around the park. Milk products and juices are also available in Baladna Farm. Take time to visit the mini-market at Baladna Park too.

Baladna Park is located at North Road, Exit 44 Umm Al-Hawaya Area, Al Khor. It can be reached by private vehicles and the Metro train.  The park opens at 10 AM to 7 PM (Sunday to Thursday), 12 PM to 8 PM (Friday), and 10 AM to 8 PM (Saturday).

If one day is not enough to visit this park, come back another day. Baladna Park accepts family trips and school field trips, as well.
