Your Career as a Nurse Starts Now

With a booming health care system in Qatar, professionals in the medical field will surely find a job in this country. If you need help in applying for a job as a nurse, this YouTube video from Pajama Guy can help.

Let’s discuss the important details:

Secure a Job Offer

The first step is to have a legitimate offer from an employer. To get notifications about job openings, you can follow the social media account of hiring agencies. Or you can visit their website to see if they are hiring.

When you apply for a position, the recruiter will schedule you for an interview. During this part, you will also learn about the responsibilities required for the job. And once you pass the interview, you can proceed to the next step.

Get Medical Clearance

When you have completed the first part, you will need to provide proof that you are fit for the job. Some agencies arrange for the medical exam of the applicant, who will then go to the clinic on their schedule.

Pass the Prometric Exam

Taking and passing this test is important if you want to work as a nurse in Qatar. The good thing about this test is that the schedule is flexible, meaning you can take it when it is more convenient for you. You will know the result after you take the test.

The vlogger says that he paid around $200 to take the test. It is best to ask how much the test fees cost before you set a schedule. Know more about the Prometric Exam here.

Prepare Documents and Certifications

As any applicant knows, you will need to prepare documents such as the transcript of records (TOR), diploma, NBI clearance, and many more.

Since you are applying in Qatar, you will need to send a copy of the TOR, diploma, and certificate of employment to DFA for Apostille requirements. In some cases, you will also need to submit documents to Dataflow.

The vlogger shares that some agencies will allow you to leave even when your documents are not yet complete. You can ask a representative to continue processing the documentary requirements and send them to you abroad. Be sure to check with your employer if this arrangement works.

Get Your Visa

The next step of your application is to get a visa. You can coordinate with the agency for the requirements that you need to submit. Afterward, you will send your passport to the Qatar Embassy through a courier. Finally, you will receive your passport with the stamped visa.
