Cebu Pacific will no longer offer flights from Manila to Doha (Vice Versa)
Due to increased competition with other airlines, Cebu Pacific has decided to stop it route to Doha. It has announced that the last flight from Manila to Doha will be on July 1, 2017. A statement from JR Mantaring, Cebu Pacific Vice President for Corporate Affairs, says that the route has become unsustainable due to other carriers’ adding of more flights. It has lead to oversupply of seats and low fares. Aside from Doha, the routes going to Kuwait and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will also be suspended.
To passengers who will be affected, Cebu Pacific is offering the following options to minimize inconvenience:
- rebooking flights with other airlines,
- booking an earlier flight with Cebu Pacific,
- full refund, or
- using the full ticket value for later use.
Now that these flight changes have been announced, passengers who take Cebu Pacific to go to these three Middle Eastern countries will be able to adjust their plans accordingly.
