Tips for Taking Care of Your Skin While in Qatar

It’s important to have healthy skin, but we all know that Qatar has a climate that doesn’t exactly help you achieve that! So it’s really important to intervene and take the following steps to take care of your skin, even under such an extreme climate.

When it comes to taking care of your skin while in Qatar, remember that you have to prepare for two kinds of extremes: humidity and dryness. It can be extremely dry or extremely humid in this Middle Eastern country, so you have to know what’s best.

Protect Yourself From Qatar’s Climate with These Tips

1. Hydrate during the summer

During the summer, expect to come home after a hot day with tired skin. You should have a water bottle with you always. You can also add half a lemon in your water. If you used makeup during the day, remove it immediately after coming home. You can do so by putting olive oil on tissue and gently rubbing it on your face.

2. Use lemons for moisture & exfoliation

You can use lemons to moisturize and exfoliate your skin. Just rub it on your face before you go to bed. Another way to do this is to make a lemon-plus-honey mixture and put it on your face for 10 minutes before sleeping.

3. Keep your skin fresh during humid days

To do this, or to avoid a clogged and sticky feeling in the skin, use a cleanser or facial wash at the beginning of the day. You can also use lemon and apply it on your face. After doing this, it is important to moisturize your face to prevent pimples from breaking out.

It is also important to wash your face with rosewater-infused cold water. These are easy to find in stores. Upon leaving the house, it is crucial that you bring tissue papers for wiping your face.

4. Sunscreen is a must

You have to put something in your skin before going out into the Middle Eastern sun. Sunscreen with SPF 50 is good, along with moisturizers for hydration. Your face, which is always exposed to the harmful elements of our atmosphere, should be exfoliated regularly and provided with nutrients so it doesn’t age as fast.

5. Wear sunglasses

While it is important to keep your skin covered during the summer, it is important to mention that you need to take care of your eyes as well by wearing sunglasses. UV rays and heat are both very powerful in the summer, particularly during the peak hours of 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
