The World’s First Angry Birds Amusement Park Lands in Qatar

Angry Birds World is now open in Doha Festival City. It is the first of its kind in the world, covering an area of 17,000 square meters and featuring over 20 high-thrill indoor and outdoor attractions for visitors of all ages, Qatar Day reported.

One of the indoor attractions of Angry Birds World is the Big Tree, a 17-meter high educational attraction that lets young visitors learn more about science and be confident in expressing themselves creatively and musically.

Another indoor attraction of this theme park is the 1,300-square meter Trampoline Park consisting of a basketball court, a foam pit, a kid’s court and Qatar’s most extreme trampolines!

There is also the world’s first indoor and outdoor Karting Track which was modeled after “Angry Birds GO.” The track is 261 meters in length and is the first to be a multi-level track in the region.

Meanwhile, outdoor attractions include the Super Slingshot tower, where visitors can be catapulted 60 meters in the air and the Raft Battle river ride, where guests can be drenched with water. There is also the City Studio where visitors can test their strength through physical activities that involve climbing and rope courses.

The Angry Birds World Amusement Park would not be what it is now without the collaborative efforts of Rovio Entertainment (Angry Birds game developer and distributor), Trimoo (a Dutch location-based entertainment company), and Tal Bin Mohammed Trading (the licensee for Qatar).

According to Riad Makdessi, CEO at Trimoo, Angry Birds World is “a world’s first in every aspect, from the theming to the choice of rides and entertainment.” Makdessi also stated that Angry Birds World is the first step towards realizing their goal in revolutionizing the way people experience the world through creativity, innovation, game and design thinking.

“This is a significant milestone for us, as we bring to Qatar and the Middle East one of the largest indoor and outdoor entertainment hubs for the whole family,” he said.
